Legal English and Legal Skills – International legal excellence programme

On July 16-20, 2007, we took part in the Legal English and Legal Skills course in Dublin organized by the Law Society of Ireland. The training focused on the practical approach to Legal English. We participated, among others, in negotiations, client interviews, contract drafting, presentations and public speaking. We also had an opportunity to visit the West Coast of Ireland. We hope that the new skills will let us deliver better services for our foreign clients.

Conference „Development of the restructuring market”

On June 12, we participated in a conference organized by the Polish Bank Association on the development of the restructuring market. We had an opportunity to listen to the specialists and experts focused on the issues of pre-court restructuring and consumer bankruptcy in particular in terms of further liberalization of its conditions. Ms. Katarzyna Sęktas as a moderator held a debate on the functioning of the restructuring market from the perspective of the finance institution.

6th Congress of Banking Law and Information

On June 6, we participated in the 6th Congress of Banking Law and Information, organized jointly by the Polish Bank Association and the Center for Banking Law and Information. This year’s edition focused on the three topics: mortgage loans denominated v. indexed, modification clauses, security and claims enforcement. We also had an opportunity to participate in the discussion on the current legal position of the bank as a creditor.

SGH – lecture – Restructuring

On Sunday morning we visited the Warsaw School of Economics with a lecture on the pre-court restructuring. We discussed with students from the post graduate restructuring management programme the international INSOL rules and the White Book of Restructuring prepared by the working group of the Polish Bank Association. We also talked about the current problems in restructuring, the stand still agreement and the advantages of the pre-court restructuring.

Microsoft Imagine Cup

On April 12 we participated in the Imagine Cup organized by Microsoft. This is the largest startup competition for students in Poland. Our CTO Patryk Ciebień has been the winner of this competition many times. Emotions were high, in particular in the category of the artificial intelligence. We congratulate all participants, especially the winners who will go to Seattle!

WULKAN training game

We took part in the “Wulkan” training game organized by the Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer Management of Warsaw University of Technology (CZIiTT PW). We have learned the “prisoner’s dilemma” concept and have had a unique opportunity to experience how building trust can affect the organizational culture in the company.

XI Europe – Ukraine Forum

Rzeszów, 13-14 March 2018 – XI Europe – Ukraine Forum

We took part in the Europe-Ukraine Forum. This is one of the most important events organized since 2007 by the Institute for Eastern Studies. This year’s edition focused on the economic growth and development of Ukraine as well as on the direction and the pace of the reforms. We also had the opportunity to establish new business relationships in the region of Central and Eastern Europe.

The training included, among others strategy of marketing implementation in the company, the importance and methods of creating contact lists, escalation of marketing activities, as well as discussion of the basics of the marketing plan for the start-up and how to effectively carry out effective marketing activities. In our law office, we try to use innovative solutions in dealing with clients, in business and social problems.
